Frosty Snowman Face

This was a plain, glass cube used for wall dividers and such.
Since it had a cold, frosty look to it I wanted to paint a snowman
face on it.
I went onto Pinterest and searched for Snowman Faces.
I found one I loved and just started painting it on
with acrylics.

After I finished the painting, I used a Rust oleum clear coat spray paint and gave the paint a
sealed finished.

Dollar Tree Cutting boards $1.25 each

These cute gingerbread man signs first started their life
as the $1.25 cutting boards at the Dollar Tree.

I liked the wood, so I started painting on the for Christmas.

One of them I hand painted a Gingerbread man.
The other I burned a Gingerbread House with my laser
and then painted it.

I added all kinds of little pine combs and berries.

The Grinch Tree with Signs

THE GRINCH TREE
with Mini Signs

I have been having alot of fun
making twists with the usual
only green trees of the Grinch.

I veered out and did a bright red one here
to scream Christmas and Grinch even more loudly.

I do believe I love the greens better, but this is
a little different and it may catch someone's eye
in my Booth#555 at Morehead Peddlers Mall.

Here's some photos below of how I started and ended.
The little signs are real little signs I made out of smaller
pieces of wood and attached them as if the
Grinch may have nailed them on.

How to make a Reindeer Door Hanger or Sign

Rudolph the Door Hanger

I started off with some 1/4" plywood.

I cut the shape out after I freehanded a
deer face with huge, cartoony antlers and ears.

I did a base coat primer.  Let it dry completely.
Even though it is so hard to not just jump right in and start
on the colors, you have to go ahead with the primer step.
This will ensure the longevity of your items.

Then I started the base coat of light brown.

Next, I finally got to start with the fun parts.
The eyes, nose and mouths are always my favorite.

I prefer to make them whimsical for the festival season.

Just keep it simpe.
Don't overthink when painting a face.

I also go back and do the wide brush strokes on
all kinds of the corners.  Just to add a light color
contrast on top of the dark.
Then a small line of dark to bring the eye in.

This is the ear up close.

It is not that much too it when you break it
down line for line.

I chose to do stripes like a candy cane on the antlers
to keep them fun.
I had inspiration from browsing on pinterest
for varying ideas and just kinda
combined them all in my mind to
what I wanted.
I added the hat brim of a Santa hat also
to make it appear the antlers are a
Santas hat.

Take a look around my Peddlers Mall Booth

Have you ever been to a Peddlers Mall?

These are various ways I have styled my craft booth.
Each week they get moved and mixed around.

Nothing stays in the same place very long.
