Old Crow Primitive Toolbox

These old looking toolboxes are a hot seller in my Peddlers Mall booth. Usually as soon as I make one, the tend to sale within 2-3 days.

I display them in ways to show how they are actually useful. Usually I tuck a handful of Country Sampler magazines in them. But for some of the cuter ones I've made, I tucked hand towels in them in the gingham pattern. A cute addition to a country kitchen, I thought. And you could also stash away some vintage kitchen utensils in these.

Anyways, I love making these little old looking toolboxes.  Keep in mind that I do not go by exact measurements on these. I just kind of wing it when cutting the boards. I think it gives a more prim look anyways.

And I almost always finish them off by stenciling on some type of design. For this one I chose the old black crow and black stars theme.

And here it is sitting beside a tobacco stick, tabletop tree with matching yellow pip berries:

Halloween Labels

It's that time again! Time to add a lil creepy to our homes. And this year I did something new. I ordered some sticky Halloween themed labels from ebay, (because I didn't feel like going out and buying the sticker paper & buying images on Etsy at the moment.) So it was just because I wanted the easy way out, or I'd have taken the time to do so. lol.

I made a lil box of things with labels to go in my Peddlers Mall booth as well. Here they are after I used what I needed, I packaged the left over labels up for sale in my booth also. So people can put them on what they want, if they don't like my pre-made items.
As you see, they are just basically pre-made stickers with cute Halloween themes. That's it. Ready to stick. Just find an object to put them on. Here's some more pics of how I used them below on an old medicine bottle, can of beans and a can of tuna. I just took off the original labels and stuck them right on.

And here's a little display I made on the front porch. Note the cute little barn wood cabinet that my wonderful hubby Greg made! Gotta love a crafty man! :-)

I love these labels. So simple but they add a unique look for my decorations. I need to go snap some pics of the yard and area my husband decorates. I may add some later on, if I can remember.

Happy Crafting!

PRIMITIVE BARNWOOD TOOL BOX

I drew out a toolbox design and had my husband cut it out for me.
Just the two ends that are kinda shaped like a front of a house, two sides, just rectangles, and then the flat bottom.

The handle was a little tricky to get it in there.
We used a tobacco stick, just cut it to size, and had to drill two holes in the ends to hold it.

After he put it together, I gave it a little detailing along the edges with black paint, to make it a lil more rustic.

Then I stenciled on the words and stars with some basic craft paint from WalMart.
The stencils can be found on eBay just by searching for "primitive stencils."

I just love it.

If you like the Old Crow Stool behind it, you can see that post here.

PRICE: $19.99 SOLD in my Booth #555.
Thank You!
